Cancer Szn is Anthology Szn

July is the official start of Anthology Girl Summer (I'm in three anthologies which were either announced or are publishing in July). Read on for a taste of the magical odyssey of print which awaits you if you choose to purchase all three.
First, the SORE anthology launches July 10 in Berlin at Galerie Molitor. I've been working with this group of writers since February. The texts in SORE Issue 3 are the result of numerous rounds of writing and collective feedback, and the experience has been fantastic. I'm so happy to have met all of these writers and artists through the project, and can't thank Mathilde and Kristina enough for organizing. My text, CHIRAL GIRLS, is a piece of speculative memoir about my experience of disability, inspired by the weird questions people ask me about having a paralyzed arm. Expect Devonian sea monsters, the end of the world, and a lot of memories of hellish high school gym classes.
Next, Triangulation: Dark Hearts launches at the end of July, with issues going out to all kickstarter supporters. I've seen pictures of the proofs and can't wait to get my hands on this one. The theme is women anti-heroes, and the collection was edited by Jessica Carver, who has been amazing to work with throughout this process. The kickstarter is fully funded, but you can still support it to get access to the full print & digital anthology, as well as audio versions of some of the stories, including mine. My story, "Perfect, As In A Body", is a queer thriller about body-modification in the Midwestern US. It's that queer tension of "do I want her, or do I want to be her?" made flesh. And scales.
Last but far from least, Apex Book Company and Violet Lichen Books just announced the full TOC for ECO24: Year's Best Speculative Ecofiction, and I'm so proud to say that my story from last year, Parasite's Grief published in Fatal Flaw 11, is among the selected stories. Low-key I did not even remember I submitted this story to the anthology because I was so certain my work wouldn't be selected. The lineup is insane. Award-winning stories, pro-mags, some crazy professional authors, and my humble little tale. Parasite's Grief is an examination of our understanding of symbiosis and mutualism inspired by lichens. You can still read it for free at Fatal Flaw, or buy a copy of this amazing anthology later this year and get the whole collection. I think you should do both ;)
Stay tuned for August, when I'll be announcing 2 flash pieces I've got coming out in the next month! Until then xoxo Anthology Girl
