Two Poems

Two Poems

Bruiser published my poem The-Thing-That-Haunts today, a poem which has been haunting me from my notes app since 2020. I still cry reading it. It hurts a lot to be reminded, but one thing about grief is, it never goes away. I don't think I am free of this ghost by having it published. If anything, I have hung the ghost up in the corner, in the room with me, so I can see it all the time.

A counterpoint, perhaps, and some lightness: Arc Poetry Magazine published Lodgepole Pine in Issue 108, New Material Ecopoetics, and I'm so happy to be included. My mission on my upcoming trip to Canada is to track down a copy in an indie book store, and hopefully get a picture.

Hugs to anyone grieving today.
